GUIDED TOUR OF PIEDILUCO LAKE

DO YOU WISH TO RELAX WHILE OBSERVING THE BEAUTIES OF NATURE? WE HAVE THE BEST OPTION FOR YOU!

We propose a Boat tour which lasts about 45 minutes during which, while navigating in a naturalistic context of remarkable beauty, historical and geographical information of the lake and the waterfall are provided. The tour leaves from the Great Velinus lake up to culminate at the construction site of the Canal of the Middle-Nera and hydroelectric plants. You will learn of the flora and fauna of the area, the folklore, the Waters festival and of the passage through the area of notorious characters like Saint Francis, Galileo Galilei and the Plenarists. Other stops along the tour will be the echo valley and various photographic stops. The tour will also pass by the Paolo D’Aloja Rowing Center, highlighting the importance of the lake in connection to sports as a regatta national ground.

ASSISI SAINT FRANCESIS WOODS

Assisi is a city of Roman origin, considered one of the most known and most important places worldwide for art history.

A must see is Saint Francis woods, 64 hectares of naturalistic site salvaged and now taken care of by the FAI. Here you can visit “the third paradise”, a work created by the master Michelangelo Pistorello with 121 Trees, and also the ancient Benedictine Monastery of the Cross, you can taste the delicacies of the Osteria del Mulino, and you can go on guided tours to discover the thematic itineraries of the most important places in Assisi connected to Saint Francis.

Orvieto has been defined “the tall and strange city“. From a distance, especially at night, it seems to be suspended in the sky while in the daytime, it appears just leaning against the clouds. Small, tidy, welcoming, Orvieto is a destination that can’t be left out of a tour in Umbria.

Upon reservation, it is possible to organize a tour to the Deruta Ceramics Museum, located in the historical center of the town. The museum is considered the oldest Italian Ceramics Museum and holds over 6000 pieces.

Bevagna is one of the towns which was awarded the title of Most beautiful hamlets in Italy. The town, which has maintained the medieval urban layout, is surrounded by walls with towers and gates.
Very well known also for the famous GAITE MARKET, which takes place every year in June. It is one of the most important tourist events in Umbria, which focuses on the historical fidelity of what is presented to the public, such as ancient crafts and the antiques market. The central moment of the event is the medieval market which is held during the two final days. Each “Gaita” – district – sets up its own market in the streets and squares placed under its jurisdiction. A meeting place for everyone are the taverns, where you can taste medieval dishes.
